Festival Indonesia 2026 brought Indonesia?Korea friendship the 81st anniversary of Indonesia’s independence, the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian National Ar26.10.06 07:16l박향선(na4amich) 검토 전 이 글은 생나무글(정식기사로 채택되지 않은 글)입니다. 생나무글에 대한 모든 책임은 글쓴이에게 있습니다.1996년에 한국청년해외봉사단을 방글라데시에서 돌아오고 귀국봉사단모임인 나섬회에서 초회에 참석했다. 그해 동기가 부회장이 되고 동기가 연락을 해서 만나면서 나섬회에 대해서 알게되고 3기 김미행선배가 어느날은 나를 잡고 임원구성을 하게 되었다. 누구을 하면 좋겠냐고 물어서 동기들 이름을 말햇다. 1995년각나라에 파견되어 귀국후에 모두들 국내에 적응하고 회사에서 적응하는라 바뼜다.4기 필리핀에 김건도는 대학에 강사을 하기에 좀 시간이 되는 것 같앗고 다들...집에서 조카을 보는데 대전에 형네 집에 있다며 최필곤이 전화가 왔다. 그래서 대전의 중앙로에서 만났더니 상업농경영에서 기자을 모집한다고 이력서을 내보라는 것이다.그리고 나는 내지 않았고 4기에 안효덕이 나중에 보니 취직해 있었다. 그때 나는 경희대에 대학원에 원서을 넣고 시험을 본 상태 였나 아니면 경희대 사회복지학과인가에 원서을 샀던가 정확히 기억이 안난다. 방글라데시에서 엔지오관계자을 만나고 사회복지에 대해서 다른 생각으로 변했다. 한국에서 당시 사회복지하면 애기나 아이들을 해외입양보내는 단체 이름에 사회복지이름이 붙어서 난 사회복지에 대한 언어을 안좋아했다. 나는 애들이 불상하고 유산을 하는 것을 보며 내 중학교 꿈에 고아원원장이라고 썼나. 현모양처라고 썼나. 어머니가 조산원으로 일을 하다보니 바쁘기도 했고 내가 어머니을 도와서 저녁을 준비하고 집에오는 아줌마나 산모들에게 커피을 내고 집에오면 바뼜다. 토요일에는 학교에서 일찍 끝나면 집에 가지 않고 도서관에서 목록을 찾아 책을 읽거나 노트 정리가 밀린 것을 토요일에 했다.한때는 시을 열심히 써서 중학교 동창생중에 하나인 변길희에게 읽어주기도 했다.어머니가 그런 말을 했다. 열심히 글을 써서 나중에 소설가가 된사람이 잇다고..그 사람이 아마 조정래인가보다. 어머니는 이야기 안하셨지만 말이다.홀트아동복지회에서 매달 회보가 와서 읽고 동방사회복지회.한국사회복지회등 다 옛날에 해외입양애기을 데려간 곳이다. 그러다 방글라데시에 아사드원예센타에서 일하면서 그리고 그 나라에서 벌어지는 각종 사업을 보며 지역사회개발등 엔지오에서 하는 사업이 다양한 것을 알게되어 엔지오학과에도 관심이 생겼다. 나섬회정기총회에서 파푸아뉴기니에 최필곤이 보자고 하더니 난 서울에 상경후에 몽골에 안효덕이 상업농경영에 글을 써달라고 해서 만났었고 정기총회에 갔는데 4기 필리핀에 김건도가 나왔다. 그는 부회장에 당선이 되었다. 그런데 문제는 회장으로 선출이 되었던 어느 선배가 나타나지을 않았다. 노씨 인것으로 안다. 2기선배였고 차후에 2기태국에 도자기분야로 다녀온 강경희언니가 나를 챙기었다. 개인적으로 9개국여행정보와 여행회화책을 만들기 위해 바쁘게 4기들을 컨텍해서 일을 진행하고나중에 3기 김미행씨가 최필곤이 다니는 서울종묘뒤에 한미약품에 다닌다고 해서 만나게 되어 임원진 구성을 1996년봄에 했다. 한국통신 시험을 보려고 했는데 나이가 29세로 딱 걸리었다.그리고 그 전에는 겨울에 올라가 파고다외국어학원에서 영어회화을 하고 스리랑카에 김미혜언니가 파고다외국어학원에서 일본어을 듣다가 말았는데 수강할거냐고 해서 수강을 했었다. 그와중에 교보문고와 영풍문고와 종로서적을 종로에서 왔가갔다하다 하면서 9개국여행정보와 여행회화책을 만들게 되었다. 책의 원본은 어느 출판사을 컨텍하니 50P컨텐츠을 만들어오라고 했다. 책의 언어는 각종 외국어회화책과 5개국여행회화책을 기본으로 해서 만들었다. 여동생이 다니는 을지외국어출판사에 다녀서 그 책도 참조을 했다. 심플해서... 나중에인도네시아에 봉사단을 다녀온 후에 싱가포르로 어학연수을 다녀온 박정임이라는 친구가 인도네시아 영사관에 영사과에 입사을 했다고 연락이 왔다 . 8월인가? 그래서 한번 서울 영등포구 여의도에 인도네시아 대사관에 갓었나?아니 나중에 부탄 UNV을 다녀온 후에 영등포에 위치한 맛지 월간지에서 외국음식을 소개하면서 박정임에게 전화해 인도네시아 음식을 소개하려 한적이 있다. 이태원도 방문했었다. 박정임이 서울에 올라와서 박정임을 나섬회 모임일을 추진하는데 같이 데려가고 여행정보책을 만들면서 알게된 태국에 황국희는 태국분야을 맡아서 일하기로 하면서 만나게 되었는데 나중에 보니 내가 살던 집에서 가까운곳에서 이모집에서 하숙을 한다고 해서 가끔씩 서울 상왕십리역에 장미빛인생인가 커피숍에서 커피을 마셨다. 그전에는 필진을 구성하면서 서울 종로에 YMCA지하1층커피숍첼로에서 사람들에게 의견을 이야기해 상당히 좋은 반응을 받았다. 그리고 개인적으로 종로에 조계사의 산중다원이라는 전통찻집에서 동기들을 만났다.한쪽에서는 내가 여행정보책을 만드는데 한국어교육을 다녀온 사람들은 현지어을 못한다며 나에게 잘못한 것이 아니냐고 불평을 했다.그런데 다른 동기에 이야기을 들어보니 필리핀이나 인도네시아의 수도의 경우는 생활비가 많이 든다는 것이다. 여자들의 경우에는 대학에 강사로 일하다보면 화장도 해야하고 옷도 신경을 써서 입어야 한다는 것이다. 그래서 오히려 한국에서 어머니가 돈을 더 보내셧다는 것이다. 나는 이해가 간다. 기자시절에 보통에는 청바지에 머리도 곱슬머리가 너풀거리기도 하는데 인터뷰하는 날은 구두도 신고 잘 챙겨 입으려 노력했었다.때와 장소에 따라서 누구을 만냐에 따라서 말이다. 시골에서 일하는 사람과 도시에서 일하는 사람들은 복장도 달라진다.봉사단원들도 보니 대학에서 학생들을 가르친 여자단원들은 화장에도 신겅을 쓰고 한 것으로 안다. 20년전에는 대전에 인도네시아 식당이 은행동에 지하 1층에 있어서 갈려고 했는데 너무 어두워서 안들어가고 나왔다. 최근에 봄에는 대전역 근처에 우즈베키스탄에 식당을 다녀왔다. 대전 충남학교 근처에 궁동에 인도식당과 터키식당이 문을 닫앗다. 어찌된 영문인지..그래서 다른 곳에 식당을 가서 밀크티을 한잔 마시고 왔다. 한잔에 3000원이다. 둔산동에 인디 식당에서는 4000원인가 5000원한다. 방글라데시에서 30년전에 봉사활동을 할때는 2타카 였나?40원 길거리에서 ...식당에서도 홍차가 얼마 안했다.대전시에는 아직 인도네시아 식당은 보지 못했다.방그라데시에서 인도네시아 식당은 고급식당으로 다카시내가 내려다 보이는 고층 건물에 있었다.대전에 태국식당은 방글라데시에서도 고급식당으로 그냥 태국식당이 아니라 씨푸드 식당으로 불린다.룸이 있어 외교가인사나 기업체 인사들이 다닌다.대전에는 고급외국식당이 별로 없다. Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Seoul at Mulbit Stage, Yeouido Hangang Park, the festival carried the theme "Indonesia in Motion: Advancing Partnership for Shared Prosperity." It brought together the Korean public, the Indonesian community, diplomatic representatives, government officials, businesses, artists, and international visitors to experience the diversity and energy of contemporary Indonesia. Held alongside Indonesia’s Diplomatic Reception, the event marked the 81st anniversary of Indonesia’s independence, the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and 53 years of Indonesia–Republic of Korea diplomatic relations. In his remarks, Indonesian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Cecep Herawan, described the theme as a reflection of both Indonesia’s transformation and the evolving bilateral partnership. "Our theme this year is Indonesia in Motion: Advancing Partnership for Shared Prosperity. It is the story of a country transforming, industrializing, innovating, and investing in its people. And tonight, the same theme describes Indonesia–Korea relations. Our partnership is also in motion from friendship to strategic trust, and to a shared future." The Ambassador emphasized that the elevation of bilateral relations to a Special Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (SCSP) on 1 April 2026 provides a mandate to turn political trust into concrete cooperation and tangible benefits for both peoples. Guest of Honor H.E. Eui-hae Cecilia Chung, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of the Republic of Korea, reaffirmed this shared ambition. "Based on this newly upgraded special strategic partnership, I am confident that our two countries will go even further together to create a future of shared prosperity and enduring friendship." Connecting Through Food, Culture, and Creativity Festival Indonesia offered visitors a closer look at the country through Indonesian cuisine, traditional games, music and dance, fashion, and creative industries. Contemporary entertainment, including dangdut music, added to a program that brought Indonesia’s cultural heritage and evolving creative scene together. One highlight was "Rasa Kita" ("Our Taste"), a joint public diplomacy initiative of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian Embassy. Indonesian and Korean participants explored each other’s culinary traditions and created dishes inspired by both cultures, making food a shared language of friendship. The festival also featured "Sambal Tteokbokki," a collaborative short film connecting Indonesia and Korea through food, culture, and storytelling. The director and cast shared the story and creative process behind the film, offering audiences an insight into how collaboration can bring the two societies closer. Other featured guests included Indonesian volleyball player Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, Zayyan of XODIAC, and content creators Hansol and Kimbab Family, alongside a performance by Dita Karang. Their participation highlighted the growing connections between the two countries through sports, music, entertainment, and digital media. Together, these activities created opportunities for visitors to meet, exchange ideas, and discover the people and creativity shaping Indonesia today. "Ultimately, our partnership belongs to our people. Our people give cooperation its lasting meaning," Ambassador Herawan emphasized. Festival Indonesia 2026 put that message into practice: as Indonesia and Korea deepen their strategic partnership, connections between their peoples help turn shared ambitions into lasting cooperation and shared prosperity.
